Why Not... Decorate for Fall?

With Fall in full swing, even though Florida is only giving us teases of Fall Weather, there is no better time than the present to get your home decorated and feeling cozy!

This season is all about warm colors, cozy blankets and pillows, and spending plenty of time with your family and friends. While also carving a pumpkin or two!

Some of my favorite ways to give my home a little fall reset are adding a fresh coat of paint, adding in some cozy accessories like pillows or blankets, and bringing more of my outdoor plants inside to keep my home feel bright and alive since we tend to spend more time in-doors during the fall season. Redecorating can feel like a chore each season, but it can be really simple things that will make a BIG impact!

Spice up your home for fall with fresh paint! Often we associate a fresh coat of paint with the interior, but another great option is painting your door. Choosing a warm fall color for your front door like terra-cotta colors, gray-blues, or olive greens is a great way to give your home a fresh look for fall from the outside in.

Make your home feel cozy with pillows and blankets! Try switching up the throw blankets and pillows in your bedroom and living room to get ready for the cooler months to start rolling in. I love cozy chunky pillows, sweater pillows, and soft blankets to really embrace the fall and winter seasons.

Bring more plants indoors! As the weather changes and the temperatures get cooler, this is a great opportunity to bring your plants inside. They will make great decor, but also give your home a fresh feeling while you are spending more time inside. Maybe a good time to re-pot as well and give them a new look!

By doing one, or all, of these tips - your home is sure to feel transformed and ready for the fall season! Plus it will create a warm and inviting space for your family and friends to join you for all of your Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving festivities next month! Don’t forget to pull out your pumpkins to really set the seasonal mood!
